I retired from teaching in the Bartow County and Cartersville School Systems in 2005. I am a graduate of Cartersville High School, Berry College, University of West Georgia and the University of Alabama. I am an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where my focus is Pre-School Ministries and Ladies' Ministries. I have served on the Bartow County Library Board, Bartow Education Foundation and as a Rainbow Mentor. I am a graduate of Leadership Bartow and served on the Youth Leadership Advisory Board. I have also been a member of the Bartow Area Board of Realtor's Professional Achiever's Circle since 2003. I feel that my involvement in our community shows that I can be trusted. In college at Kennesaw State, I interned with the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce and fell in love with the community. I am a Georgia native, born in Athens and raised in Kennesaw. My husband Todd and I moved here 8 years ago and are happy to have made Cartersville our home. We are members of Tabernacle Baptist Church and both enjoy spending time with our families, volunteering in the community and traveling. I graduated from Kennesaw with a degree in Communications and have enjoyed 18 years serving students and their families as a counselor, assistant director and interim director of college financial aid in Georgia.
